No Lawyers, Definitely No Lawyers…. But we don’t bottle Whisky (yet) and our mothers told us to do the responsible thing so here goes.By placing your order, you are agreeing to the Terms and Conditions set out below. Use of any functionality of this website constitutes acceptance of the T&C’s.

Any personal information provided by you is confidential and will not be passed on to any other companies or organisations not affiliated with SMACK! Republic Brewing Co reserves the right to amend our T&C’s without notice at any time. Your mother always told you that change was inevitable so continued use of this site after changes are posted will constitute your acceptance of the changes to our T&C’s.

GENERAL STUFF

You must be aged 18 or over to purchase alcohol. It is an offence to sell alcohol to anyone under the age of 18 in South Africa. If you are over 70 and purchasing artisanal beer, then you sir, are a fucking legend! When ordering and making a payment you confirm that you are aged 18 or over. If your order is a gift and contains alcohol, the recipient must also be aged 18 years or older. An adult over the age of 18 will be required to sign for delivery. Also 17.9 years old is not the new 18…

We aim to ensure that prices and stock availability are correct. If an error does occur it means we probably screwed up and we will make every effort to contact you to rectify our mistake. While every effort is made to supply all items listed online, there are instances where this may not be possible. In these cases, we will contact you and offer a substitute with the same or greater value. We reserve the right to withdraw or replace products online without notice. Merchandise prices and specifications are also subject to change without notice.

We make every effort to ensure that the information on this website is correct. However, SMACK! Republic Brewing Co takes no responsibility and shall not be held liable for any information relating to a third party that is incomplete, inaccurate or out of date. Even where your payment is accepted by our systems, no contract shall exist until SMACK! Republic Brewing Co have dispatched the items to you.
SMACK! Republic Brewing Co will not be held responsible for any loss, consequential loss or damage to any individual or business which may have occurred from the use (or misuse) of any product or any information contained on this website.

PAYMENT STUFF

Payments can only be made using credit/debit cards, or instant EFT through our payment gateway operated by PayFast. Card payments are made through a secure server. SMACK! Republic Brewing Co does not store your financial details. Your personal details are not passed to any third party. Payment will be taken at the time of ordering.

DELIVERY STUFF

We will always aim to deliver your order promptly, but cannot accept liability for delays.

Deliveries must be signed for by a person of 18 years or older. If our couriers are in any doubt about the age of the recipient on delivery, they will request ID confirmation. We reserve the right to cancel the delivery if the age and identity of the recipient is in doubt. It is the responsibility of the customer to report goods damaged in transit.

Refunds will not be issued in the instance of an order being placed outside the conditions of the delivery parameters stated on the checkout page. No compensation can be offered for loss of wages due to failed or late deliveries.

Customers accept responsibility for the safe storage and use of the products upon receipt. SMACK! Republic Brewing Co is not liable for damage caused by customer mishandling. Alcohol is best enjoyed in moderation and from a glass…you deserve it!

RETURNS, REFUNDS AND CANCELLATIONS

If you wish to return merchandise goods only, they must be returned in their original packaging to:

Please note that return shipping will be paid by the customer except in cases where goods are faulty, in which case, Smack will carry the cost of the courier fee. Once the goods are received back in our warehouse, a refund will be processed for the goods, minus applicable shipping costs, unless the return concerns faulty or damaged goods.
Regarding our artisanal beer, if there is a problem with your order, items are faulty, or you wish to return goods for any other reason, please contact us at beer@smackrepublic.com.

SPECIAL COOKIES

We don’t bake beer or malt infused cookies, the IT guy in the basement tells us that a cookie is a small data file stored by your web browser on your computer. It allows us to recognise your computer by associating the identification numbers in the cookie with other customer information you have provided to us. That customer information is stored on our secured database. We use cookies to keep track of what you have in your basket and to remember you when you return to our site. They can also tell us which website you came to us from.

Cookies help us provide you with a better website, by enabling us to monitor which pages you find useful and which you do not. A cookie in no way gives us access to your computer or any information about you, other than the data you choose to share with us.

Cookies are also used in the functioning of the online store section of our site, by keeping track of information you enter into the site (products chosen, delivery address etc) so that it can be passed onto us to generate your order.

  • Twelve (12) assorted samosas

COVID 19 and OTHERS world changing events

That’s some crazy stuff right their folks. All rules and your rights are subject to be turned upside down should government choose to do so. In these events we try our best to stay calm, drink beer and follow the new rules, but don’t Zol.

NOTICE

These T&C’s shall be subject to and interpreted in accordance with the laws of South Africa. Our failure to enforce a right does not amount to waiver of it.
However, these T&C’s will not apply in the event of the occurrence (certified by the Republic of South Africa or if minister Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma says so) of a widespread viral infection transmitted via bites or contact with bodily fluids that causes human corpses to reanimate and seek to consume living human flesh, blood, brain or nerve tissue and is likely to result in the fall of organised civilisation.
